Hm...not so bad after all

Well, it turns out that I didn't really cry when I left dd with her best buddy.

I was pretty certain last night that the minute I was in the car driving away, I'd cry. Nope. It was okay. Her Imperial Majesty was so happy and excited about being "A Big Girl" and staying at Quinn's house, it was really hard to feel sad. Her little face was all lit up. She was SO proud of herself.

So. I'm home, new laptop computer in tow. (Thanks, State Farm. No thanks to the burglar who took my old one. Grrr....) And, while I'm absorbed in setting it up, every so often my head pops up, listening, completely automatically, for sounds of my daughter. And THEN I remember she's not in the house.

It's okay. She's a Big Girl now.

You are such a big girl yourself. I think it helps with the seperation to know that she was so proud of herself.

Thieves stink.
