Maternal Separation Anxiety?

My darling four year old daughter is going to be away from home for the longest time since she first came home from China.

Bear in mind that she came home at 22 months, so there was no letting her out of our sight for the first 18 months or so...and then after that, there was the occasional solo evening with another family or babysitter so mama and baba could catch a movie or go to a wedding. But TOMORROW she is going to stay at her best friend's house from 10 a.m. Friday morning til dinner time Saturday evening.

Yikes!

Am I ecstatic about the opportunity to spend 24+ hours uninterrupted time with my husband? Relishing the time away? Well...sure. But I've got a bad case of separation anxiety. I've been home with her non-stop since last October. I'm going to miss her so very much I can't tell you. I'm already sort of teary thinking about it.

I guess I better start getting used to this.
