Okay well when we went to China the first time, we, of course, saw people practicing Tai Chi in the parks. Yesterday, my cool, cool husband started taking a Tai Chi class! How wicked cool is that?? I have the most open-minded, interesting husband, I gotta say.
So he came home and showed me some of his moves (that he learned in class, people!) and it looks JUST like they do in China. He says that all practitioners of Tai Chi learn certain "forms," which are the big, long pattern of moves that they all do simultaneously. So when he goes to Taiwan he could totally practice out in the park with any group that happened to be out there. Is that cool, or what?
Me, I am not sure I could fit in any more exercise classes. I'm up to 3 aquacize classes a week and my knees, which are best described as creaky, are...well...creaking. Still, it sounds totally worth doing. Maybe this will makeup for our family's catastrophic failures in the learning-Mandarin realm...

Wow, that IS a cool husband. I wouldn't mind learning Tai Chi but I can't see Andy being too excited about it... :) I say quit the aquacize and do Tai Chi with your hubby!!
