Well, in nursing DD's cold, I got it myself, big time. I've got NO voice whatsoever today. None.
Yet, since DD was discovered to have outgrown all of her blanket sleepers, it was off to Target I went. And do you know what? When I managed to make it clear to the cashier that I'd lost my voice-- darned if she didn't start asking me fool questions.
Some people.
I also went to the library and OF COURSE someone asked me how to operate the self-checkout machines. I gestured vaguely to my throat and did the checkout for her. What else could I do? She was a nice-looking elderly lady. I like to think she understood.
Anyway, thank heavens one of my girlfriends Instant Messaged (IM'd) me today, otherwise I'd have had no adult "conversation" at all until the husbie came home.
DD thought is was really hilarious to ask me questions all day long, too. Like: "So, mom, how'd you sleep?" "Hey, what are we getting at the store?" and other stuff like that. Finally I had to get down on the floor at Target and whisper to her that 1) she understood perfectly well that I couldn't talk and; 2) quit teasing me!
Little stinker! :-)

sickness is running the show over here too. It started with the girls and has now gone to my hubby. I have asked them all to STAY AWAY FROM ME...everyone listened but the small one. Go figure
Oh, I love that!! Little DD is a spunky one for sure. :)
I hope you get your voice back soon... we had colds going around here a week or so ago. Nobody lost their voice, but it was some pretty miserable stuffiness & sore throats.
Get well soon!
Hugs,
Rebecca
