Well, riddle me this. I'm trying to get a grip on what the wait time might be. Approximately. A ballpark estimate. Anything.
I've been reading the yahoo list servs. People have started sharing their wait times for toddler/preschoolers AND what their agencies have told them would be their wait times.
Suffice it to say that there's no Rumor Queen for Taiwan. No one collates all the rumors, has tons of sources and many years gone by to review for trends when postulating the wait times for Taiwan. Nope. It was a tiny program which, thanks to Chinese restrictions and soaring wait times, has suddenly been flooded. Thus, no relevant history to review. (Although, arguably, new Chinese policy made review of past years irrelevant too...)
The good news, though, is that people seem to agree that the wait time is about a year. BUT. Is that one year inclusive of the court process (which can be seven months or so) or until you see a referral? Who knows?
Color me boggled. I've no idea. But if I hear anything, you'll be the first one I'll tell!

I think that all of the figuring we do is pretty much futile in trying to figure out a wait time. Small programs, small orphanages, and small agencies spell out too many unknowns. Now if only an agency would tell us our "number" in line we could see things progress and know where we're at. Unfortunately, that's not happening. Let's have another round while we wait! :)
