Dossier answers and catching a break on the exercise

Well. Here's something I didn't know about Taiwan adoption. Basically, the dossier, translated or not, just sits around at our agency until we're at the top of the waiting list and a child matching our requirements comes available. Then it is submitted to Taiwan for, presumably, Chung Yi's approval and, if involved, that of the birthmother. If the child is old enough, s/he is consulted, too.

So, getting irate about our dossier not being translated when we're probably nine or ten months from its going to Taiwan is silly.

That's what I get for being thoroughly China-trained. If you don't already know, the minute your dossier is translated and approved for China, it's submitted. You're in line. Any delay means a delay in the adoption. Not so Taiwan. I'm relieved I have no cause to be annoyed with my agency-- they're so pleasant to deal with, I would have been miserable to think they'd neglected us.

On the Catching-A-Break front, they canceled my Aqua-Pilates class-- not enough students. So my slightly Rabelaisian patootie can stay that way a little longer-- no third exercise class per week.
