Meizi's mom's blog

Okay, remember when I mentioned that our guide in China absconded with our little girl and could not be persuaded to let us bond with her until I got sharp with her? (after which she refused to speak to us or call the airline to look for our luggage). Well it turns our Meizi's mom had a similar experience. Here's her accounting: http://tinyurl.com/qvdv

While I'm really sorry Meizi's mom had this experience, I'm glad to know we were not the only ones in the world this happened to. I was so ticked off, I reported her to our agency immediately. I guess it's probably yet another thing for prospective adoptive parents to worry about, or at least be aware of. My advice? Don't be polite. Take your kiddo back immediately and let it go at that.

Hurt feelings are far less important that the welfare of your kiddo. Our poor daughter was pretty confused during that time. She wasn't sure which of these strangers was her mama and cried when our guide left the room. I have to say I was pretty homicidal by the time (very shortly thereafter) when I told the guide to go do to herself something which is generally considered anatomically impossible! (heh. No, I was a bit more polite than that...)
