Cutest. Toddler. Ever.

Okay, so we watched dd's best buddy, Q, and her younger sister for the day today. We had a fun, watery day in the sun. But the best part was little Audie after we got home.

Little Audie, aged 21 months, contrary to the prediction of her mama, actually fell asleep on our bed and slept for two whole hours. Happily, I had my cell phone handy and took a photo. With the exception of our dd at the same age, Audie is clearly the best toddler ever.

I think this is my favorite toddler age. About 2 1/2 is the age when they begin to communicate and they clearly understand you. The world is opening up for these little people at this age. They can convey affection clearly, unlike young infants. And they have a real sense of humor.

I could've played with Audie for another several days, no problem.
