The end of my youth

It's not enough being middle-aged. No. That didn't necessarily make me automatically "ma'am" to everyone under 30. But now, NOW it is all over.

Yes, we bought a minivan.

I solicited advice from many on my Yahoo groups (thanks, gang!), friends (ditto!) and Consumer Reports. Consumer reports said that the 2006 Kia Sedona is a good bet. It has side curtain airbags all the way to the back row and great safety ratings. AND a little panoramic mirror that lets a mom look all the way into both captains' chairs and the 3rd row-- NOT that my little angels and their little friends EVER need supervising while in the car. Nope. [um...can you FEEL the sarcasm radiating out of your computer screen?]

Anyway, I settled on a deep dark red with tan interior. But DANG do I ever feel like a suburban mom today, or what?
