How to accidentally scare your agency

So I called FFC to see what the timeline was for shelling out $ for the adoption. You know. When do I have to pay and in what amounts? That sort of question. I used the word TIMELINE.

Before I knew it, poor Wendy was telling me she couldn't really estimate our referral time and she didn't know how long it would be... I had to smile. (By the way, that's not Wendy's picture above...but read on!)

I think she was so relieved when she realized I was only talking about money! It was funny and kind of sweet.

Like I said, we're okay, in a way, waiting as long as it takes. I mean, would I like the process to be more predictable? Oh, yes. I'd love to know EXACTLY when she's coming. To the minute, in fact.

But am I jumping up and down with impatience? No. I think everything will happen when its supposed to. And our daughter, Ragnhild, (our joking "fill in" name since we're big The Deadliest Catch fans) will be worth waiting for. And THAT is who the picture is at the top of this post...
