A little bit of information is a dangerous thing

Okay, since last night's questions I woke up and popped open a blog someone had recommended to me. Voila! Some information.

They submitted their dossier in January, got a judgment 3 months later a final judgment shortly thereafter and 4 - 6 weeks after got travel approval. Good grief! VASTLY faster than I anticipated. They will travel in June or July.

Now don't think I'm not ecstatic about this discovery! Quite the contrary! But I was anticipating eighteen months wait at a bare minimum. This an entirely new paradigm. A good one, mind you, but new. I'm used to Mainland China's ponderous, although fairly predictable, pace which is somewhat akin to the moving of icebergs. Or continental drift. Well I can't think of anything else that's slow, but you get my point.

I think, since I just woke up, I better go have a second cup of coffee and let this new knowledge sink in with the caffeine!
